Stephen Gough (footballer)

Stephen Gough (footballer) (born 21 March 1981 in Dublin) is an Irish football player currently playing for Crumlin United F.C. in the Leinster Senior League.

He began his career at Bray Wanderers F.C. and then signed for a short spell at Monaghan United at the start of the shortened 2002/03 season. He signed for Shamrock Rovers F.C. shortly after and made his Rovers debut on the 11th of October 2002 [1].

Gough scored 6 league goals in total in the Hoops and was the clubs Young Player of the Year for 2004.

He made 4 appearances in the UEFA Intertoto Cup before transferring to Longford in July 2005 [2].

In December 2006 he signed back for Bray Wanderers F.C. but was released at the end of the 2007 season [3].

Following a break from the game, Stephen returned to league action with Longford Town F.C. in July 2008 before leaving at the end of the 2009 season.
